I have been working in the North Inner City of Dublin since 1982. Since that time I have witnessed the devastation caused by addiction to the community. [...] I love the North Dublin community for it's resilience, it's humour in the face of adversity and it's unwavering support for those in addiction. On the bright side I have seen so many people recover from addiction and have fulfilling lives. I have seen so many who recovered support others to start the recovery journey. The NICDATF has been set up to support this community to address the consequences of addiction to alcohol and drugs. We bring together the community, the voluntary sector, the State Sector and the politicians to collaborate and work towards supporting the community recover from the devastation of addiction.
